2019 Texas Summer Camps

Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21
Texas Small Boat or Learn-to-row Camp

For girls of all experience levels, ages 13-18.

Texas is excited to host two rowing camps this summer on beautiful Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. The university is offering a learn-to-row camp alongside a small boat rowing camp. Campers may either stay in the dorms or attend daily. Camps run Monday through Friday. All meals and transportation (once on campus) are included in the camp cost.

Per NCAA rules, all sports camps and clinics conducted by The University of Texas at Austin are open to any and all entrants, and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender or number restrictions as specified by each camp.

Learn-to-row

The learn-to-row camp is perfect for athletes who are interested in trying a new sport in high school or college.  Rowing is a growing sport with numerous opportunities at the collegiate level. Many division I rowing programs are eager to recruit good athletes with little to no rowing experience as over half of the 2016 USA Olympic rowing team learned to row in college.

Our learn-to-row camp is specifically designed to give campers a solid understanding of rowing and how to be successful in the sport. We intentionally keep the camp small so that each camper gets personalized coaching and attention in a fun camp environment. Camp is limited to eight athletes. Sign up now before camp fills up.

Small Boat Camp

Our small boat camp is perfect for athletes from around the country to develop better effectiveness in small boats and sculling. Campers train and race in singles, pairs, and doubles to improve their small boat skills and racing strategy.

Campers are separated based upon skill level and comfort in small boats. Because we limit the camp to 24 athletes, we ensure that the camp is tailored to the goals and abilities of the campers each year. This camp offers a unique opportunity for athletes to receive individualized coaching in a fun camp environment. Sign up early to confirm a spot before this camp fills up.
